WIIF? #128

Rebecca had the stars and stripes on her side for a victory!

Here is What Is It Friday? #128

Carletta has it her way, right away!

The fine print: On Fridays I will post an image in hopes that visitors will leave a guess in the comment section. The following Friday (or when someone guesses correctly) I will post a wide shot of the item. Each Friday a NEW image, along with a link to the previous weeks post, will be posted.

At the car show... Day 5 of 5...

Car? What car? Where do you see a car?

At first she just walked by with a guy holding a camera.

Next thing I know she is posing and twirling her hair.

At the car show, this little number definitely has the curves to win a prize.

I think I saved the best for last... ;)
Oh, and there's a Ford Mustang in there, somewhere.

At the car show... Day 4 of 5...

I know, I know... "Car show"... oh well

This bike was worth it. Did you notice how long it is? Two lengths of chain running that monster.

Here is another monster... Usually a bug has a small engine in the rear. This one had a custom hood, as you can see, with a Chevy smallblock 305 in the front. The rear wheels on this thing were a good 2.5 feet wide, each!

Built for the autobahn... this Lambo had four carburetors on its engine. Pure speed.

At the car show... Day 3 of 5...

Three things I love in no particular order...

Chopped low riders...

Chevys...

And Chargers...

At the car show... Day 2 of 5...

A newer feature I've been seeing is painted engines and covers...

...as well as the underside of the hoods.

The owner of this car was telling me that his uncle is Joe Simon; who, along with Jack Kirby created Captain America. He did this as a tribute to him.

At the car show... Day 1 of 5...

I always enjoy seeing the old hotrods and the fancy flame jobs. That is one badass custom hood.

I just wish more of these guys would keep the engines hummin'.

I enjoyed seeing the new Corvette...

But it's not what pops to mind when I hear "classic."

The feedings have made them docile...

The neighborhood squirrels have been getting fed by the neighbors and I've been able to get closer and closer daily.

I just don't like when they whisper to each other while I'm standing right there!

They get a little pissy once they realize that I'm not refilling the food bowl.

Oh, gotta run! Lasers have been activated!

WIIF? #127

Carletta took a not so speedy victory last week, but it was a victory none the less.

Here is What Is It Friday? #127

Rebecca quickly rose to glory this day!

Bonus on the set of The Bounty...

So I get a call before lunch from a good friend of mine and he says that Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston are on his dead end shooting scenes for the upcoming movie, The Bounty. Not only did I jet there before lunch, but I had to go back after work with a "real" camera. The cell just wasn't hacking it... and I needed to see Jennifer ::drool::

I handed off my camera so that I could get in a few shots and this was one of those awkward "in-between moments."

If it wasn't for these two I wouldn't have gotten so close. Thanks guys!

This dude was working security for the equipment and was one of the nicest guys on set.

Gerard's little girl Lolita actually walked over for some "scritches" from me :)

She made eye contact, waved, and smiled... ::melts::

Jennifer was surrounded by "her people" and didn't get too close to her fans.

But we still love her.

One of the hired EMTs on the set was asleep in the ambulance... while the other worked on her needlepoint.

This was one tricked out Mercedes.

Suped up brakes. Blacked out lights. Monochromatic gray paint and a camera rack that probably costs more than my car.

We saw her collecting the clothes after the set wrapped.

Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (NY 135) closed down for a day of shooting. An oddity on Long Island.

Workers setting up the shot.

Another "on set" worker.

Me with the Delta 88 that might soon be famous :)

I just freeze every time you see through me...

...And it's all over you, electric blue.
In too deep, standing here waiting
As I'm breaking in two, electric blue.
I can see, can see that it may be
Just a vision of you, electric blue.
On my knees, help me baby,
tell me what can I do, electric blue.
