Alone... and far from home...

While in Connecticut, I spied a flash of green and blue fly by and I knew it wasn't an ordinary bird that just caught my eye.


Although inquisitive, it wouldn't let me get close enough to... eh-hem... help him onto my finger.


And even though this picture was blurry, there is something about it that I just adore.

Wow what a pretty bird!! Too bad he wouldn't perch on your finger!

I love the blurry shot too. It's the lovely color of the blue wings I think that makes it so striking.

Do you think he got blown off course, or perhaps escaped from a birdcage somewhere. In either case, the photos are great. Such beautiful colors!

these are awesome. here in redlands we have some wild parrots, it is always so bizarre to see them and not feel like I am in Brazil!
