Palindrome post ...1441... and new beginnings...

This is post 1441. My daily posting has come to a close. I will continue to post when I find things of interest to share; but after all these years of daily posts I have found that the blog-o-sphere is not what it once was.

This all started because I would send emails to a bunch of friends with photos of my travels. MCF thought that a blog would be a good venue for me to share these images; and he was right. I started with some posts that happened anywhere from every few weeks to every few days. I was able to share these with not only friends and family, but many other people as well from around the world. After a few months of that I set my mind to posting at least a photo a day and kept it up for over three years.

I made a bunch of friends through this venue and even met one chap while traveling in California. Others have become friends on facebook and others I continue to visit through their own blogs and stories about life.

I still love photography and will continue this "diary" of my adventures... but just not every day. Thank you all that have been following along on this journey. Let's see where it takes us next. —b13 (Joseph)

Social Networks killed the Blogging Star.

I'm surprised you didn't stop with 1337.

Hey Joseph,

Well, I'm just now reading this post so I guess that says a lot about what our blogging world has come to!

I'm still plugging away with my blog(s) but it isn't what it once was-that's for sure. Many of my early readers have stopped blogging...and I guess I stopped visiting others as often as I did in the early days, too.

FaceBook and other networking sites have had a big impact on the blogs-LOL- I think it's because a quick connection on FB is so much easier than writing a daily blog-OR visiting a lot of blogs every day!

:( I miss the way blogging has changed- lol- but there am I -also- on FB.

Have always enjoyed reading your blogs,B13, and DO hope you continue occasionally!

Junie
