Seventeen year brood...
These little critters stay underground for many years and then all emerge together.
They molt and leave their shell behind. They take some time to unfurl their wings and let them dry so that they can fly away in search of mate for the next seventeen year brood.

525,600 minutes...
As of March 1st, I have consecutively posted 365 days of photos. There were well over 800 images and I look forward to many more. Thank you all for being a part of my experiences. I enjoy sharing every one of them.
