yea, i was thinking woven chair seat...
but if it's something else...I'm going to start with saying that maybe it's a blurry shot of a triscit.

Actually, along the lines of Triscit, I'm guessing that this is a photo of a piece of Corn Chex cereal taken as the bowl was being swiped right out from under your nose.
No Jerry... Not corn chex or cereal. And no one is fast enough to pull a bowl of cereal out from under my nose. Not without losing a finger or two in the process.

Well, your shine clue and the fact that the pattern seemed illuminated...the other possibility is a parquet floor frame by blue shag carpets.
