(Not so) dishwasher safe...

So, after the wife went to Panera® (Not to be confused with Pantera) for some wholesome goodness I decided that their cup (with cover and straw) would be a great addition to my gaming sessions. It holds a frosty beverage and is a stable receptacle to keep nearby when dogs are afoot.

To my dismay, it did not fare well in my dishwasher... :(

6 months...

We just came back from dropping off the last pup from the litter with his new potential owners. We are very picky when it comes to who gets our dogs but we want them to be in the best homes we can find and to be in them for the long haul.

We met up with the new owners at a friends house and she brought out a Chin pup for Puzzle to eat... er... I mean meet!



Everyone was lining up to see the little puppy. Oh, and that's Puzzle's new big brother sniffing his butt.



The chin pup is recovering from a scratched retina but is doing fine. Poor little puppy.



I have a feeling they will be two peas in a pod before long...



Ella is the girl we kept from this litter. Isn't she precious?
We gave her a bath today.


She will miss her final litter mate but she still has her mama, older brother and uncle Schip to play with.

I've seen photos with "red eye"...

But blue?


And she squoze (it's a NY thing) hers soooo tight to hide her peepers!

After a day of play, brother and sister were pooped pooches.



What a great rescue from the pound. They are in a wonderful home and a family will get to remain together their whole lives.

Sights from a Jersey dog show...

Dogs! Dogs! Dogs!

Today starts a few days of dog postings. On Memorial day I went to a dog show followed by a BBQ with a lot of dogs.. and a few humans. Most were Border Collies but there were a few Goldens there too. Check back for some pool fun in the next few days. :)

This little Japanese Chin stayed with us for a few days. Doesn't he look like a Mogwai?

Everyone has such beautiful dogs...

I've seen some of those "ugliest dog" contests... but even those are such cute doggies. I don't think there are any ugly pets. But there are some ugly owners out there (darned mirrors) ;)

Here are a couple of our friend's furry sidekicks. I just love everyone of 'em.

Built for speed...

What does my boy like to chase? Is it a ball... a tug toy... frisbee?


Nope, he likes to chase after mom!


And boy can she RUN!!!


She, however, is a ball fiend. Be it a tennis ball... football... or soccer ball... She is the "Air Jordan" of the dog world.


Chance loves to chase down mom and grab her by the scruff while she tries to get the ball to you for another toss.


And as long as you are willing to throw that ball...


She will get it for you.


Over and over and over again. Until we tell her that play time is done and it is time for a drink.


Sorry that they are blurry, but on an overcast day she is just too fast to be shooting at these slower speeds. I'll get more as the weekends become sunnier.
