Memorial park... or WTF?

I took a walk to a local park because our Village taxes have been paying for a wonderful Memorial section with benches and a little rock stream. On a Saturday afternoon I find this...



MY TAX DOLLARS!!! And they fence off the park and padlock it! I am PISSED!


I stepped up on to the fence and snapped a few pics of the areas I could not get to.


Maybe one day I'll find it open. :(

For our fallen...

In Memorium. Part IV...

The Thunderbirds have been a staple of the Jones Beach Memorial Day weekend airshow and as they closed out the day... they will close out my aerial shots for the week.



















Also, I was inspired by MCF’s spoof and Kev’s comment. So I made a few of my own. :P

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day. Just take the time to remember why we are able to celebrate. Our freedom is defended by many brave men, women, boys, and girls. Don't ever forget what they have sacrificed for us. If you see a soldier... Thank them for all that they do. They will appreciate it.
