A place to rest...

Concave and smooth to the touch.
Perfect for your rear to rest.
Soaking up the heat of the sun.
But cool as the fireball sets.

30 weeks of "WIIF?"... The impossible "WIIF?"

Scott brought last weeks "WIIF?" to a screeching halt.

As I said last week... "I will be posting an image that I deem nearly impossible (but I've been wrong in the past.) You bloggers do surprise me often. MCF may have to be excused from guessing because he actually pointed this one out to me. The winner, if there is one, will receive an autographed 8"x10" glossy photo of their choice from this site (remember, cell-phone pics may not blow up that well.) Who knows, I might be famous one day ;)"

Jamie Dawn and Junie Rose cracked this week's "WIIF?" and won herself a nice photo of her choice! May I recommend one of the sunsets? Or, perhapse, a flower? No pressure though ;)

This was the inside of a horseshoe crab shell that we found while walking along the North shore of Long Island.

The fine print: On Fridays I will post an image in hopes that visitors will leave a guess in the comment section. The following Friday (or when someone guesses correctly) I will post a wide shot of the item. Each Friday a NEW image, along with a link to the previous weeks post, will be posted.

Mamma's belly is a bustin'...

Mamma has at least ten pups ready to come out this weekend. My wife shaved the bitch's belly today so the pups will have an easier time feeding. I'm preparing for some long nights. Puppy pics will be plentiful over these next weeks but in the meantime...

Reflecting back...

I will not be reliant on my cell cam... but in a pinch it is a wonderful tool. For a while I was carrying my bulky camera everywhere and it just wasn't practical. I still take it for outings but my cell is always at my side.

I love when the clouds are dark below and lit so well from above. It has an ominous feel. I first noticed the reflection in the rear window that was in front of me. The bigger picture "popped" when I pulled the file to my computer and viewed it on a bigger screen.

This isn't the first time I have shot this stretch of road. The lighting at sunset makes the ride home a bit more enjoyable.

Octopods...

Cell phone pic. Ok, you can't always tell if something is in focus until you see it on a bigger screen. But this still looked pretty cool to me. The leaves are tack-sharp and the "loving octopods" are blurred with mystery.

Speaking of mystery... When the hell will we find out more about Cloverfield?

Take it with you...

This was a camera phone pic at a relatives funeral. The car is not a relatives'. Maybe someone is trying to take it with them. Click for more detail.

Who, what, when, where, why, wall...

Who hangs out there?
What is the significance?
When will it come down?
Where is it?
Why am I asking?

The DJ Tay Review...

First off... EXCELLENT selections! I can definitely see Taylor going into radio. Does he do any pod casts on the net?

I took a drive to help a friend move some French doors and listened to the CD that I won on the way. Luckily I had a CD player that plays mp3s. The CD was one track that clocked in just over an hour and five minutes. What freaked me out was when I looked at the player to advance through a track the name of the track is tagged as "Watching You Die" with the artist as "Jonah33"...

I looked around to make sure a rogue trucker wasn't barreling down on an unsuspecting "me."

Anyway...
The track started with Queen and got progressively heavier as I drove along. I tried to drive leisurely at 65mph which was working for a bit through Steely Dan, Guns & Roses, Toto, and Black Sabbath (all along the way there were cool tidbits of info about the bands interspersed between songs.)

The songs got heavier and advanced through Yngwie Malmsteen, Pantera's "Cemetery Gates," and Nevermore.

Then a driver in a Plymouth caravan drove up on my bumper and lingered there before swerving into the lane next to me and glared at me as he passed on my right.

I thought to myself... "Oh no he did NOT!" As DragonForce kicked in to gear I estimated that the caravan was a quarter of a mile ahead of me. I gunned the gas and screamed up to just over *****mph (what, you want me to incriminate myself? Use your imagination) and as I passed him I made a surprised look... ah-la-Jamie Dawn.

He glanced to his left and did a double take as I passed him... the look of shock seemed to be in slow motion and was priceless... and then he exited in disgrace at the next turnoff.

King's X, My Chemical Romance, and The Showdown rounded out the set and made this an enjoyable drive.

I had not heard of The Showdown before but really like them, so thank you for introducing me to something new :)

Some bands that Tay probably already enjoys... but if not, he should check out... Hatebreed, Sworn Enemy, Trivium, Bullet For My Valentine, 3 Inches of Blood, and Mindless Self Indulgence.

Coming soon...

Next week, to celebrate "30 weeks*" of "WIIF?" I will be posting an image that I deem nearly impossible (but I've been wrong in the past.) You bloggers do surprise me often. MCF may have to be excused from guessing because he actually pointed this one out to me. The winner, if there is one, will receive an autographed 8"x10" glossy photo of their choice from this site (remember, cell-phone pics may not blow up that well.) Who knows, I might be famous one day ;)

And don't worry MCF you can have any photo you want ;)

It will be named "30 weeks of "WIIF?"... The impossible WIIF?" in the post headline. Get ready, get training, get your guesses at the tips of your fingers...

*officially this will really be the 28th WIIF? week because twice I posted two WIIF?s a week... but who's counting;)

WIIF? #29

MCF can be so sappy sometimes. ;)

Here is What Is It Friday? #29

Could this day get any better?...

I decided at 2am to submit a video/audio entry at Skull-A-Day to try and win one of the cool lanyards he created... and I got an email this morning saying I did :) I can't get over how artistic this blogger is.

Here is my submission:

I met up with MCF for lunch and chowed down on some Green Cactus before being let out of work early. Nothing bad... just moving some people around.

On the drive home I saw this cool cloud formation and only had my cell phone to snap a quick pic. There were actually about ten of these long and two high, but I couldn't fit them all in the frame. (I tell you... those aliens know how to hide a ship.)

Upon arriving home I saw that I received my prize from Jaime Dawn. I can't wait to give it a listen and will do so tomorrow. I have a little drive to take to help a friend move some doors. This will be good for the trip :)

My BC was happy to have received it too! :D
