Angel...

Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
For a break that would make it okay
There’s always one reason
To feel not good enough
And it’s hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
Oh beautiful release
Memory seeps from my veins
Let me be empty
And weightless and maybe
I’ll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there

So tired of the straight line
And everywhere you turn
There’s vultures and thieves at your back
And the storm keeps on twisting
You keep on building the lie
That you make up for all that you lack
It don’t make no difference
Escaping one last time
It’s easier to believe in this sweet madness oh
This glorious sadness that brings me to my knees

In the arms of an angel
Fly away from here
From this dark cold hotel room
And the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage
Of your silent reverie
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort there
You’re in the arms of the angel
May you find some comfort here

Two from my archive...

This little guy was on a car windshield; and since a windshield is composed of layers we see that multiple image effect again.

The sun was intense and this hoppers' colors were incredibly vibrant.

WIIF #84

Last week, Scott tapped out a winning answer with the minimal amount of keystrokes.

Here is What Is It Friday? #84

Colliver had a lucky horseshoe (crab) on his side with this guess! A lot of interesting info on that wiki. Especially about their eyes and blood!

The fine print: On Fridays I will post an image in hopes that visitors will leave a guess in the comment section. The following Friday (or when someone guesses correctly) I will post a wide shot of the item. Each Friday a NEW image, along with a link to the previous weeks post, will be posted.

Bitchin' Camaro...

I came across some slides that I took in high school and the following were of my first true love. These pictures are about 18 years old.

I bought this cherry a month before my 17th birthday and dropped the plates on the day that I got my drivers license.

I had taken the day off of school for my drivers test and my first excursion on my own was to the high school to show off my ride and to pick up my girl.

This '77 Chevy had a 305 8-cylinder engine with a 4-barrel carburetor. It was jet black with chrome bumpers, dual exhaust and dark tinted windows. The interior was a deep-blood-red. It had rims that reminded me of the General Lee and air shocks in the rear that could give the car a little extra lift. The engine didn't purr... it GROWLED!

After a couple of fun years I sold it and bought my '68 Skylark...
But that's another tale.

Project graffiti... by you : for us...

Here is a little experiment. You don't need mad Photoshop™ skillz! You don't have to be an M$ paint guru. You just need... a vision.

Click the below image and download the desktop sized image to your machine. Then, add your art any way you want. Use a program to paint on it. Make a photo collage. Print it out... have a child draw on it... scan it back in to your machine or photograph it and upload it. Be creative.

Finally, post it on your blog or website and leave a comment here so that people can click YOUR link and visit YOUR page to see YOUR creation... YOUR vision... YOUR art!

That's Amoré...

When your wife holds your hand
at the beach; in the sand.
That's Amoré!

If you're sitting in mass;
next to you sits a lass.
That's Amoré!

If she sits in the pew
and she holds hands with you.
That's Amoré!

If she stays many years;
through the sweat and the tears.
THAAAAAAAAAAAAT'S AMOOOOOOOORÉ!

I didn't have any more witty lines but feel free to leave some in the comments section.

W.H.I.N.N.Y. (no, not "the Pooh")...

I was looking up the proper spelling of whinny for this post and came across Why Horses In Need... Need You.

The below horses are not from the above location... but if you can help, please do! And enjoy the following images.

OMG! A six legged horse?

Oh, whew! I thought I was in the company of a mutant!

Skritch-skritch-skritch-skritch...

I am always in awe of the strength...

...soulfulness...

...and sheer power that these animals contain.

"Eye can tell you stories..."

"...but will you listen?"

Don't you (forget about me)...

Hey, hey, hey ,hey
Ohhh...

Won't you come see about me?
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving me everything inside and out and
Love's strange so real in the dark
Think of the tender things that we were working on

Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

Will you stand above me?
Look my way, never love me
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down

Will you recognise me?
Call my name or walk on by
Rain keeps falling, rain keeps falling
Down, down, down, down

Hey, hey, hey, hey
Ohhhh.....

Don't you try to pretend
It's my feeling we'll win in the end
I won't harm you or touch your defenses
Vanity and security

Don't you forget about me
I'll be alone, dancing you know it baby
Going to take you apart
I'll put us back together at heart, baby

Don't You Forget About Me
Don't Don't Don't Don't
Don't You Forget About Me

As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
As you walk on by
Will you call my name?
When you walk away

Or will you walk away?
Will you walk on by?
Come on - call my name
Will you all my name?

I say :
La la la la la... La la la la...

WIIF #83

Rachel stuck the win last week.

Here is What Is It Friday? #83

Scott taps out a winning answer with the minimal amount of keystrokes. Although I'm a Mac-head my wife is able to settle for an HP.

But she does have good taste when it comes to the web ;)

Click-ity-Clack-Click-ity-Clack-WOO-WOOOOoooo....

After last night's post you should have seen this one coming. I like both of these shots for different reasons.

But the lights on this one really made the shot. Be sure to click this one for a super-sized desktop image. Arrange your desktop icons on the cars, on the tracks, or in the sky for easy filing.

The itsy-bitsy...

I love how double paned glass creates these shadows.

This big boy created a four foot web just outside my bay window.

It catches a lot of insects... so I let it be.

Keep the mosquito massacre rolling my little friend.
