R/C body mod...
The truck body is nice... but you can see that anywhere online.

I dropped on this chopped '49 Merc that was used on my old electric R/C over 20 years ago.

The way I drive... it won't last long.

I already had a nasty flip that bent one of the aluminum parts. I'll get better... I hope. :(

OK, enough of the new toy. I'll get back to nature after tomorrow's "WIIF?". I have some great new pictures in store for you.

A light powder creates havoc...
I don't get it... My daily driver is a '94 Celica and I can plow through a foot of snow without any problems. But, while we were driving home in our Tribute from Gettysburg, PA, we encountered snow... a whole quarter of an INCH... and what should have taken 4 hours became a seven hour ordeal. There was a bit of ice under that minute amount of powder.
There were trucks in ravines, pickups flipped over, multi-car collisions, torn up dividers and SLOOOOOOW moving traffic. I was a bad photographer and did not have my camera at the ready for the carnage and most was on the opposite side of the road. We couldn't get over 25 miles an hour and at one point we were debating whether we should stop at a hotel for the night.
We made it home but I wanted to share some of the ride with you. The snow followed us the entire way and the beasts are now frolicking in the backyard and getting quite messy.
Our navigator was quite diligent...

This was the worst it looked...

These dudes were MOVING out there...

Night fell...

And slow shutters clicked...

I'm home in a warm house now... and the snow continues to fall.
I'll see what morning brings.

Full lot...
I was going to call this post "pulling out" but figured that some might think I was going to stop blogging or referencing some sexual innuendo. Ok, I chuckled when I first wrote that.
The shallow depth of field and saturated colors give this shot a "model" feeling; like something you would see on a toy train set. It also reminds me of a Summer that is now gone.

Movers and shakers...
Last week I commented about experimenting with movement. I will surely do more of these, and with different subjects in the future, but I'll start with a focus on vehicles.
I did not use blur effects to alter these images. They were shot at different speeds varying from 1/30th of a second to 1/4 of a second, hand-held, and following the subject/vehicle. They were color corrected and slightly cropped... but other than that, "What you see is what you get."

Oh, how I miss my Tonka™ trucks...
Long Beach restoration after some brutal surf. They do this a few times a year to keep the beaches from eroding. Without the strip of beaches protecting us from the pounding Atlantic surf, Long Island would be covered with water quite quickly.

Off on a tangent... How depressing that everything is made of plastic now-a-days :(
Update: Fenway found my toy!!!
