Missing ewe...

Two takes on the same subject. I like both the subtle tones of the color shot as well as the classic look of the black & white. Be sure to click the second image for a full sized desktop version.

OMG I WENT IN A BALLOON...

It cost me $2 to go into a half blown up balloon so I could take some snappity-snaps. And recently a friend asked if I sell my photos on-line. If anyone wants to reimburse me the two bucks plus some gas money and parking fees I'll send you a high quality print... oh screw it...

Click the top two images for desktop sized images and put some color on your screen.

Oh yeah, to top off the day we got to go in the slightly constipated balloon.

World Wide Web...

One image... two desktops.

One has natural lighting.

The other has the absence of color.

Which suits you?

P.S. Just as I was posting this I noticed a spooky face in the trees to the lower left of the web. Weirdness.

A rose is a rose is a rose...

Today I did a little experiment with color and hue and the lack thereof.

First I shot a rose at night with a flash... which blasted it full of light and made this red rose seem magenta.

Here is an illustrated, almost cartoonish (is this a word?) look. Saturation was maxed and lightness was dropped to knock out the background.

When saturation is dropped to minimal and lightness is increased you get an image that looks similar... but not quite like it was taken with an infrared filter. Some other examples as well. I really need to get me one of these lenses.

The last three are hue adjustments to get roses of a different color.
