Looking for a mate...

My wife saw this critter in the grass.


He seemed to be probing the air for a mate.


It reminded me of the big beetles in Starship Troopers that were blasting bombs out their rears.


That spear kept pulsing!

The lack of surrounding detail allows the brain to see this larger than what it really is!
