Good hint, LOL, why don't you just give it away? Could it possibly be a Tigers Eye stone/rock/crystal/marble?
I would have never guessed it looked like that from the size up close.
It is indeed a purple tiger's eye gemstone and I was just as shocked when I held it up to the sun... sideways
