Interesting guess. I like mine with lemon and butter grilled over an open flame. But I did not photograph it. Sorry Scarlet ;)
It looks ceramic or porcelain...I'm gonna say it's a planter, or maybe the leg of an ornate table or chair.
It would make a nice pattern for those...but is none of the above.
