At the Garden...

For the weekend leading up to the Westminster Dog Show we were asked to bring one of our dogs to a judges seminar as a demo dog. While there I came across a stunning Bedlington Terrier...

And could only think of one thing...

Well the kids are all hopped up and ready to go
They're ready to go now
They got their surfboards and they're going to the Discotheque Au-Go-Go
But she just couldn't stay
She had to break away
Well New York City really has it all
Oh yeah, oh yeah

Sheena is a punk rocker
Sheena is a punk rocker
Sheena is a punk rocker now
She's a punk punk a punk rocker
Punk punk, a punk rocker
Punk punk, a punk rocker....

The Ramones, Sheena Is A Punk Rocker

I did learn that these dogs are born either blue, sandy, liver (as this dog is), blue and tan, sandy and tan, or liver and tan. They are born darker and their coats lighten as they get older. I found that to be quite interesting.

Hope your demo dog didn't mistake the Bedlington with the fine mohawk for a sheep!

;) They are known as the little lamb with a lions heart.

The announcer at this year's show said it's the toughest dog to groom and it takes the longest. I guess when you try and make one animal look like another it takes a LOT of work.

The dog is beautiful, and I like your little poem...so cute!
