Another shot from Tobay Beach on the south shore of Long Island. I walked between two buildings just off of the beach and the phones were perfectly set up for this shot. Afterwards I checked for a dial-tone and came up with the title... although not too original. :)

I always fear that I will find gum, goober, or a finger in the coin return... After once finding a few bullets in one as a child (true story) I have stopped looking.

LOVE this shot...the composition is wonderful! Most times the simpliest things are the most interesting!
I haven't seen a pay phone in many moons.
I think the last time I noticed one was in the airport.
They may be around, but I never take notice.
Those phones in your photo look kind of lonely.
