And you may wish that you have an extremely large screen...
My friend's pooches were so sleepy that they let me get really close to play with my macro lens. I have to see what these look like if I print them poster sized.

OMG, they are amazing. When I clicked onto the larger photo, the first one was mind blowing.
What kind of camera do you have and how many pixels were in the photos?
I have a simple 4 mpg point and shoot from 2-1/2 years ago, i.e. an antique.
These were shot with my new Nikon D80. It is a 10MP body and those shots were taken with a 60mm macro lens.
Can you believe that those are actually lo res images? I am still shocked at the amount of detail I can get but I've been researching, and wanting, this camera for some time now.
4MP is a fine size. I shot with one for a few years but then upgraded to a Nikon 8800 and most of my photos that you have seen on this blog were done with that one.
I also shoot occasionally with a Nikon S4. I wanted a small portable point and click and I chose this as a backup because of the 6MP sensor as well as the lens orientation. The lens rotates out and allows for a whopping 10X optical zoom as well as a great macro feature and video.
You can find one for a very reasonable price because the new models are out (the new model has vibration reduction for camera shake at high zoom)
I love these shots! So beautiful. I'm a big dog photo fan.
