So their eyes begin to open. I don't know if they only see shapes and blobs of color at the moment; or how far they can see... but when you hold one up to your face you can see the excitement and wonder in those little wet jewels.
Did you know that although dogs are "color blind" they actually see color. They just can't discern between certain shades. Mamma dog will retrieve her red ball if asked or will find her blue ball (no jokes please) if you want her to. But a green ball in lush grass may slip her up. That's when her sense of smell kicks in and she'll find that one too! ;)

And Chance came home with a first place ribbon from an agility trial today. He ran an "Excellent A Standard" course (jumps, tunnels, contact equipment) which needs to be completed with no mistakes in 63 seconds or less. He completed the course with a clean run in 45 seconds! :)

These animals have a ridiculous amount of cartoonish personality. I love the way Chance is proudly puffing out his chest and showing off his ribbon, and the content puppy cracks me up too. I love the Snoopy look on #8 and #10 is smiling like in a Japanese animation.
:) big CONGRATS to Chance!!
What a beautiful dog!!
